The Joelanta 2025 toy convention was a standout event for collectors of all stripes, combining vintage treasures, indie toy creators, and community energy under one roof. Hosted at the Gas South Convention Center, this year’s show was bigger and better than ever, with plenty of deals, exclusive finds, and friendly faces.
Joelanta 2025 was my favorite convention yet, not just for the toys, but for the people, networking, and creative opportunities that came with it. The show floor buzzed with activity from indie toy makers, customizers, and small retailers showing off their latest work.
Among my highlights was a massive haul from Spero Toys, creators of Animal Warriors of the Kingdom. I picked up several figures from the popular line, including Tanger (a Masters of the Universe homage), Gladiator Pale, Atreiu, and the fierce Ahaw Kinn, along with extra armor kits and army builders like the Chinari Centurion.
These colorful, highly articulated figures continue to showcase what’s great about the indie toy scene, imaginative design, great storytelling, and solid play value.
Joelanta 2025 also featured impressive diorama makers, vintage toy vendors, and panels covering topics like customizing, indie production, and the evolving toy market. While it’s smaller than Toylanta, Joelanta’s intimate scale makes it a hidden gem for toy fans who want to connect directly with creators.
For indie toy collectors, Joelanta 2025 was a reminder that the heart of the hobby beats strongest in community-driven events.
