Four Horsemen Studios (4H) has offered collectors an in-depth look at the brand-new Mythic Legions 2.0 Knight Body. This figure debuts with the Mythic Legions: Dawns of Discovery wave. Specifically showcased on the prototype for General Delphina of Eathyross, this updated body sculpt represents a significant commitment to improved articulation without sacrificing the line’s iconic aesthetic.
The new 2.0 Knight Body is an evolution of the design philosophy first implemented with the popular “Valiant Knight” figure build. It focuses heavily on enhancing the figure’s posability.
Improved Range and New Joints
The core purpose of the Mythic Legions 2.0 Knight Body is to increase the range of motion while maintaining full compatibility with the existing Legions figure parts. The studio confirms that this new construction successfully accomplishes this goal by incorporating several key improvements:
- Increased Range of Motion: Both the arms and legs now feature significantly more range. This allows for deeper stances and more expressive battle poses.
- Mid-Torso Cut: The armored mid-section now includes a dedicated mid-torso swivel. This adds an extra dimension of posing that was previously limited.
- New Neck Articulation: General Delphina will utilize a new neck design that features a swivel point of articulation. This provides greater expressiveness and range for head poses.
Understanding the Prototype Status
The images shared by the studio focus on the sculptural detail of the Mythic Legions 2.0 Knight Body with General Delphina’s Templar tunic removed. The 4H team stresses that while these pictures reveal the sculpt, they do not fully illustrate the final range of motion, as the prototype shown is constructed from glued and tacked 3D-printed parts.
However, collectors who own figures from the Necronominus wave or the Valiant Knight release should already have a good sense of the robust articulation improvements that the final, production-molded General Delphina will possess.
The figure, along with the entire Dawns of Discovery wave, is currently available for preorder exclusively at StoreHorsemen.com.
