BigBadWorkShop just dropped a massive announcement that has action figure fans excited. The studio has officially unveiled a collaboration with legendary comic book writer and military design mastermind Larry Hama to bring Larry Hama’s Fury Force to life as a fully articulated 1/12 scale action figure line.

For longtime military toy fans, the phrase “Fury Force” holds incredible historical weight. Before Hama transformed a revived Hasbro trademark into the juggernaut known as G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero back in 1982, he originally pitched a concept to Marvel Comics centered on a team of elite covert operatives called Fury Force. Now, decades later, that historic concept is finally stepping off the drawing board and onto collector shelves courtesy of BigBadWorkShop.

The studio has shared a look at six phenomenal digital renders, giving us our very first glimpse at the roster, their specialized gear, and the deep engineering planned for the line. Here is a breakdown of the revealed figures.

Top Kick: First Sergeant

Leading the squad directly into the fray is Top Kick, the unit’s First Sergeant. Top Kick features an intense, cigarette-chomping portrait, a green beret, and a heavy field rucksack. His tactical gear includes a customized assault rifle, a silenced submachine gun, a silenced pistol, a combat knife, a canteen, and loose gear pouches. He also includes an alternate clean-shaven portrait without the beret and several swappable hands, including one holding a cigarette.

Hog Man: Machine Gunner

When fire superiority is mandatory, Hog Man is called to the line. This bald, gritty-faced machine gunner is wearing a camouflage vest over a yellow t-shirt. His loadout is built around a heavy belt-fed machine gun with an integrated scope. He also includes an alternate camo combat cap, a canteen, a sidearm pistol, multiple frag grenades, and interchangeable fists to help him handle the heavy kick of his primary firearm.

Jelly: Grenadier and Demolitions

Heavy ordinance support arrives in the form of Jelly, the team’s Grenadier and Demolitions expert. Jelly is wearing clean olive-drab fatigues and a removable boonie hat. His signature weapon is a beautifully sculpted break-action grenade launcher. To support his heavy gunner role, he comes packaged with a massive ammo bandolier packed with grenade shells, a “FRONT TOWARD ENEMY” Claymore mine with a deployment tripod, a combat knife, and an array of swappable hands to pose him loading his ordinance.

Brujo: Communications

This guy looks familiar… Like someone that might be headed eastbound and down? No elite strike unit can operate without a dedicated comms officer, and that role belongs to Brujo. Brujo features a classic camouflage uniform, a combat cap, and a prominent mustache. His primary gear piece is a massive, highly detailed field radio backpack complete with a wired handset receiver and a long antenna. His weapon selection is just as robust, including a submachine gun with a silencer, a classic .45 caliber pistol, a hip-holstered combat knife, a canteen, a frag grenade, and a full set of interchangeable hands to handle the radio equipment.

Umbra: Intelligence and Recon

Moving over to intelligence operations, Umbra, the team’s Intelligence and Recon officer. Umbra sports a tactical black jumpsuit and comes packed with an incredible array of espionage and demolition equipment. She features an alternate head wearing a classic military beret with the Fury Force logo crest. Her gear includes a vintage-style portable surveillance computer, a briefcase marked “TOP SECRET,” a block of C4 explosive wired to a detonator, a combat knife, a lighter, a silenced pistol, a silenced submachine gun, and several alternate hands—one of which is even sculpted holding a cigarette.

Revenant: General Badass

The last render showcases a terrifyingly cool operative named Revenant, designated as the “General Badass.” This figure features a head and arms completely wrapped in bandages, reminiscent of classic military horror aesthetics. He sports tiger-stripe camouflage pants, a loaded tactical vest with a U.S. Army stamp, and a removable fabric green poncho with a deep hood. His accessory loadout is massive, featuring dual holstered sidearms, a tactical shotgun, a silenced submachine gun, a combat knife, granular web gear pouches, and interchangeable wrapped hands.

A New Era for Military Toy Collectors

Every digital render explicitly notes that final products may vary, and that each release will also include a specialized figure stand and blast effects accessories. This attention to detail underscores the premium nature of modern 1/12 scale independent toy lines.

BigBadWorkShop has instructed fans to stay tuned for further updates regarding pricing, pre-order windows, and production timelines. Given the historic connection to the origins of military action figures and the direct creative involvement of Larry Hama, this line is shaping up to be an absolute must-have.
