Independent toy projects always catch my eye, but when industry veterans team up to launch a brand-new original universe, I sit up and take notice. Patrick Thomas Parnell has officially launched the Kickstarter campaign for AMNX: Special Operations Commandos. The project brings together comic books, heavy-duty tactical storytelling, and highly articulated 1:12 scale action figures.

If you appreciate original figure lines built from the ground up by creators who love the medium, this campaign deserves a spot on your radar.

A Heavyweight Creative Team Behind the Roster

The lineup powering AMNX includes some of the most respected names in independent comics and toy production. Created by Patrick Thomas Parnell through Riot Press Productions, the development team also features industry veteran David Vonner.

Adding extra firepower to the line is a comic cover illustrated by Don Allan Figueroa. Combining strong narrative roots with experienced figure engineering gives this lineup a solid foundation right out of the gate.

The Figure Roster: Heroes, Villains, and Army Builders

The initial wave introduces several core characters engineered at 6.25 inches to scale cleanly with mainstream 1:12 action figure displays:

  • American Ninja X: The flagship hero of the universe, featuring tactical ninja aesthetic options in traditional red, white, and blue, as well as a stealth black design.
  • U.S. Assassin: A super-soldier warrior available in standard tactical gear and jungle-operation variants.
  • British Bulldog: A heavy-hitting super soldier concept drawing inspiration from classic pro wrestling energy.
  • N1N-Droids: These high-tech robotic army builders offer multiple colorways so you can build out massive shelf conflicts.

Each figure is designed with high-level articulation, loadout accessories, and alternate gear options intended to blend seamlessly into modern tactical shelves

How to Back the Campaign

The AMNX: Special Operations Commandos project is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, with basic figure tiers starting around $39 alongside add-on options for physical comic books and campaign-exclusive trading cards.

If you want to support creator-owned action figure lines and expand your 1:12 scale collection, head over to the AMNX Kickstarter Page to back the project before the campaign ends.
