Creative Beast Studio (CBS) is back to work after the Thanksgiving break, and they’ve kicked off the new week with a major update for fans of the Beasts of the Cenozoic line. The studio has released a “Tuesday Teaser” showcasing the exciting Woolly Rhino Paint In Progress phase.

This highly anticipated figure, which will eventually join the growing roster of scientifically accurate 1/12th scale prehistoric action figures, is now moving through the critical deco stage.

A Look at the Color Design

Ross Persichetti is specifically handling the color design work highlighted by the update. Persichetti is well-known within the collector community for his striking and realistic color applications on numerous other figures across the Beasts of the Mesozoic and Beasts of the Cenozoic lines. His involvement assures collectors that the final figure will feature complex, multi-layered paint applications that bring the extinct mammal to life.

The post only hints at the ongoing paintwork. This signals that they are preparing and testing the final production molds. The Woolly Rhino is now moving closer to its pre-order and official release date. The final color scheme will emphasize naturalistic tones, highlighting the thick coat needed for the Ice Age.

Joining the Cenozoic Collection

The Woolly Rhino is one of the most requested additions to the Beasts of the Cenozoic line, standing alongside figures like the Woolly Mammoth and the upcoming Kelenken Terror Bird. These large, articulated figures provide collectors with definitive representations of animals from the last great ice age.

With the Woolly Rhino Paint In Progress phase confirmed, collectors should keep their funds ready. This manufacturing update suggests the figure is progressing well toward final production. Creative Beast Studio may announce the pre-order in the early to middle part of next year. Stay tuned to Independent Toys News for the official release details as they drop.
