Riot Press has officially offered a look at a surprising addition to its expanding universe: the Riot Press F.O.X. vehicle. Designed for the American Ninja X (AMNX) toy line, this tactical assault vehicle bridges the gap between authentic defense engineering, supercar aesthetics, and the golden era of 1980s military action figure rides.

For fans of creator-owned action figure lines and retro-inspired tactical vehicles, the F.O.X. represents a striking blend of real-world experience and classic toy design.

Real-World Defense Background Meets Toy Design

The origin story of the Riot Press F.O.X. vehicle is rooted in actual military manufacturing. Before transitioning full-time into building indie comics and action figures, creator Patrick Thomas Parnell spent time working for Pierce Manufacturing and Oshkosh Defense. During his tenure with these tactical equipment leaders, Parnell contributed to defense projects requiring special military clearances.

While the specifics of those real-world clearance projects remain classified, the hands-on exposure to heavy-duty military hardware directly shaped the design language of the AMNX universe. Rather than designing a generic sci-fi transport, Parnell drew upon actual vehicle mechanics, structural framing, and battlefield practicality to give the F.O.X. a grounded, utilitarian presence.

Combining Lamborghini Styling with G.I. Joe VAMP Nostalgia

In a recent reveal, Riot Press detailed the three core design pillars that define the F.O.X.:

  • Tactical Utility: Built with the rugged functionality expected from modern military hardware, featuring heavy armor plates and aggressive weapon mounting points.
  • Supercar Aesthetics: Infused with the sharp, sweeping angles and aggressive contours inspired by modern Lamborghini sports cars.
  • Retro DNA: Rooted in the classic 1980s toy aesthetic, explicitly paying homage to iconic vehicles like the original G.I. Joe VAMP.

The resulting hybrid creates a fast-attack assault ride designed to look perfectly natural alongside modern military collectibles while preserving the playability and bold shapes that made vintage toy vehicles so memorable.

Expanding the American Ninja X Universe

The Riot Press F.O.X. vehicle is just one component of the rapidly growing American Ninja X ecosystem. The creator-owned franchise encompasses a full world of heroes, villains, heavy armor, and detailed lore designed specifically for collectors who appreciate independent craftsmanship over mass-market corporate releases.

To support the release, Riot Press is launching an official Kickstarter campaign this coming September. Early backers who sign up ahead of the official launch will secure an exclusive Early Bird hologram trading card illustrated by renowned comic artist Don Allan Figueroa.

Action figure fans and indie toy collectors looking to secure their spot for the September launch can pre-register on the AMNX Kickstarter Page or check out current apparel and collectibles directly at the Riot Press Shop.
